Winter training consist of internships and distant learning

Starting in 2000 I have been constructing Ilmatar Institute buildings, landscaping and creating nature settings all around Ilmatar institute in order to make the stay a special meditative and contemplative retreat. These special garden rooms and nature settings provide numerous opportunities to enjoy and emerge in the healing energy of nature. I am excited and can hardly wait to finally begin the NohKiDo™ training in July 2008! NohKiDo™ — The Way of the Spiritual Energy of Noh —actually consists of Therapeutic Noh Theater® training. The foundation of both, however is SohKiDo™ — The Way of Creativity Spirit Energy.

The terms may seem a bit complicated, yet the studies are practical applications of creativity and its manifestation of transpersonal or spiritual energy via action meditation methods expressed in the arts (visual arts, poetry, music, drama and movement).

This first ever pioneering NohKiDo™ training will prepare the participants, after completion of the 3-year training, to produce, direct and create Therapeutic Noh Theater® performances, but does not qualify them teach it to others. Therapeutic Noh Theater® has been trademarked and developed over 40 years by the trainer. Further studies in SohKiDo™ are required in order to qualify as a trainer of NohKiDo™ and Therapeutic Noh Theater®.

The 6-week residency periods consist of six intensive weekend workshops and six 5-day weekly workshops to prepare the learners to begin their first internships and practicum as well as to prepare them for their further NohKiDo™-related reading, research and writing assignments during the fall, winter and spring months. This compact annual 6-week training period maximizes the time management thus reducing the necessity for the residency at the Ilmatar Institute.

Ilmatar Institute retains the right to alter the proposed tentative workshop topics and schedules for 2008 as well as the fees for 2009-2010.

The required reading list (bibliography) for each workshop will be forwarded after the participation has been confirmed.
